Odisha, October 29, 2025(ANI): Strong winds in Gopalpur Beach of Ganjam district after the landfall of cyclone Montha. Landfall process of Severe Cyclonic Storm 'Montha' commenced on October 28 as the storm is likely to cross the Andhra Pradesh coast. Odisha CM Majhi said that 11,396 people have been evacuated so far in state, while the govt is gearing up to evacuate a total of 30,000 people. IMD on October 29, said that Severe Cyclonic Storm 'Montha' has weakened into a Cyclonic Storm over the coastal Andhra Pradesh. As per weather department, the Severe Cyclonic Storm "Montha" over coastal Andhra Pradesh moved nearly northwestwards with a speed of 10 kmph during past 6-hour Meanwhile, DRM at Waltair Division of East Coast Railway, Lalit Bohra informed, 23 trains cancelled & railway on high alert.
