Baramulla (J&K), Nov 08 (ANI): 30-day vocational training program, organised by Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) 02 Battalion, Pattan, empowered women with advanced tailoring and sewing skills in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla. This initiative aims to provide them with the expertise to enhance their livelihoods and foster entrepreneurship within their communities. Sashastra Seema Bal provided them with sewing machines, materials, and resources. The training was conducted at COMTECH Institute of Technology where participants learned sewing techniques, garment construction, fabric handling, and design skills from expert instructors. They are also provided certificates as ‘Master Trainers’ after the completion of the course. This empowerment of women through skill development courses contributes to their social and economic independence and enable them to actively participate in their families’ and communities' financial growth.
