The Somnath Temple in Gujarat is undergoing significant development with several infrastructure and tourism initiatives aimed at improving the experience for pilgrims and visitors. The state government is focusing on inclusivity, with special provisions for senior citizens and differently-abled individuals, while ensuring equal opportunities for all visitors by removing VIP culture and implementing a systematic darshan process. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the three-day Somnath Mahotsav, featuring the first-ever 'Kala Dwara Aradhana' worship-through-art festival, and announced budget allocations for the Somnath-Dwarka Expressway to enhance connectivity. The cultural events have further boosted Somnath’s appeal as a spiritual and cultural destination.
