Skill development training imparted to empower girls in Srinagar

Srinagar (J&K), October 14 (ANI): The Government of India implemented various skill development schemes to empower women and provide them with vocational training opportunities. One such initiative is the ‘Skill India Mission’, which aims to train and certify individuals in different trades, including cutting and tailoring. Under this scheme, Kashmiri girls are availing free cutting and tailoring training. There are several training centers and institutes across Kashmir that offer these courses under the ‘Skill India Mission’. Girls from far-flung areas of Kashmir are availing this free training at Prayas JAC Society Centre Shalteng, Srinagar. The duration of the training program may vary, and training program covers various aspects of cutting, stitching, tailoring. The training program aims at empowering women to work in the fashion industry or start their own tailoring business
