Jalandhar (Punjab), April 15 (ANI): One of the accused in the killing of Sarabjit Singh in Pakistani jail was gunned down by two unidentified men in Lahore on April 14. The accused, Aamir Sarfaraz alias Tamba was gunned down in Lahore’s Islampura area, Pakistan-based Samaa TV reported. Sarfaraz was shot twice in the chest and twice in the legs, as per Samaa TV. The body has been taken into custody. Meanwhile, Sarabjit Singh’s daughter said it was the result of his deeds, but also smelled “conspiracy” of Pak govt in the killing. Sarabjit Singh, a farmer from Bhikhiwind town in Punjab near the India-Pakistan border, crossed the border while he was drunk. He was sentenced to death by a Pakistani court in 1991. Singh was kept in the Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore for 22 years and after that, he was beaten up by his inmates due to which he succumbed to death. In December 2018, a Pak court acquitted Tamba and co-accused Mudassar of all charges in the case of killing of Sarabjit Singh.
