Sara Ali Khan continues to rise with ‘Ae Watan Mere Watan’; shares her experience in the film

Mumbai, March 23 (ANI): Basking in the glory of her newly released Amazon original film “Ae Watan Mere Watan” actor Sara Ali Khan spoke to ANI about her new film and the experience of working on it in Mumbai on March 21. It is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The film is about a courageous young woman named Usha Mehta who initiated an underground radio broadcast to promote the ideals of solidarity that played a key role in the Quit India movement during the tumultuous period of India's fight for independence in 1942. The film stars Sara Ali Khan and Emraan Hashmi in key roles, produced by Dharmatic Entertainment and directed by Kannan Iyer. Talking about the importance of the film, she said, “It is the story that needs to be told. This is the story of self-belief, conviction and undying perseverance.” She further hoped that this story of Usha Mehta would inspire today’s youth. In the interview, she also talked about the importance of her mother Amrita Singh’s reaction to her films. Lastly, she expressed her heartfelt gratitude for her journey so far in the film industry and hoped to do better work in her upcoming film “Metro In Dino” directed by ace director Anurag Basu.
