Ashish Kantilal from Madhapar, Gujarat, is a master of Rogan art, an ancient craft using castor oil-based colors to create intricate hand-painted fabric designs. This heritage art thrives in Nirona village, where the Khatri family, led by Padma Shri awardee Abdul Gafur, works tirelessly to preserve it. Gandhi Nu Gaon, a model village rebuilt after the 2001 earthquake, showcases Kutch's vibrant craftsmanship with artisanal stalls offering mirror-adorned quilts, stoles, jewelry, and more. These dedicated artists ensure the survival of India’s timeless traditions, preserving a rich cultural legacy for future generations.
