“Respect for HC should…” Former Envoys condemn Gurudwara incident with Indian envoy in Scotland

After Indian Envoy Vikram Doraiswami was prevented from entering a Gurdwara in Scotland, India has raised with the United Kingdom foreign office and the police over the incident. Meanwhile, Former Indian envoys Ruchi Ghanashyam and Anil Trigunayat strongly condemned the incident. Meanwhile, a formal reaction from the Ministry of External Affairs on the incident is awaited. The UK incident comes amid a growing strain in India-Canada ties following Canadian PM Justin Trudeau’s ‘baseless’ allegations. However, Canada has yet to provide any public evidence to support the claim about the killing of Nijjar.
