‘Ready and loaded’: Indian Navy latest guided missile destroyer INS Surat docks at Hazira Port

Surat (Gujarat), May 1, 2025 (ANI): On May 1, INS Surat docked at Hazira Port in Gujarat for the first time. INS Surat, the fourth and final ship of the P15B Guided Missile Destroyer Project, ranks among the largest and most sophisticated destroyers in the world. It has an indigenous content of 75% and is equipped with state-of-the-art weapon-sensor packages and advanced network-centric capabilities. Recently, the Indian Navy warship carried out a successful test firing of Medium range surface-to-air missile (MR-SAM) air defence missile system in the Arabian Sea.
