“Ration, water for 6 months…”: Farmers ready for ‘Dilli Chalo’ march against Centre

Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab), Feb 12 (ANI): Punjab Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee General Secretary Sarwan Singh Pandher held a meeting with farmer unions in Fatehgarh Sahib on February 13 ahead of farmers ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest march. Farmer leader Lakhwinder Singh said, “...The people are ready and the meeting is also happening...We don’t wish to cause inconvenience to the common man...As soon as we get the direction after the meeting, we will march forward.” “Agitation will last long. We have ration and water for 6 months. As much as this government wants to delay, the agitation will continue,” he added. Meanwhile, farmers participating in ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest march stayed for the night at Fatehgarh Sahib Highway amid deployment of heavy security at the spot.
