Rameswaram[Tamil Nadu], December 26 (ANI): Rameswaram Railway Station, a vital gateway to the historic Ramanathaswamy Temple, is being transformed under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The redevelopment aims to modernise the station while preserving its cultural heritage. The new design includes an East Terminal with direct access to platforms 1-3, a North Terminal for administrative purposes, and separate forecourts for arrivals and departures. With facilities like escalators, lifts, waiting areas, and commercial spaces, the project ensures passenger convenience. Set for completion by May 2025, this redevelopment will make Rameswaram Railway Station a world-class facility reflecting the region's spiritual significance.
