“Proud moment for us…” Railway officials inspects Chenab bridge, briefs on deadline and completion

Reasi (J&K), June 15 (ANI): To boost railway connectivity, authorities working on ambitious project of constructing world’s highest railway bridge. Standing taller than the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the Chenab Bridge is hailed as an engineering marvel in India’s railway project. When completed, it will facilitate train service from Ramban to Reasi via the world’s highest railway bridge. The ambitious project falls under the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link project, which will be completed by 2024. Railway officials recently conducted an extensive inspection of the newly constructed railway line and stations. Meanwhile, the railway line linking Reasi to Sangaldan is on track and has been finalised, with service set to start on June 30. The USBRL project, including the 48.1 km long Banihal-Sangaldan section, was inaugurated by PM Modi on February 20. It is the part of Rs 35,000 crore Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Railway Link project, which aims to boost connectivity in J&K
