President Draupadi Murmu virtually addressed Vaiśākha Buddha Pūrṇimā Divas, organized by the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) and the Ministry of Culture at the National Museum Auditorium in New Delhi. The event commenced with the lighting of lamps and offering of flowers to the Buddha, followed by religious chanting by monks. Meenakashi Lekhi, Union Minister of State for External Affairs & Culture, along with IBC representatives and approximately 50 monks from India and beyond attended the event. Additionally, nuns from the Jamyang Choling Institute showcased a lively Nalanda debate, followed by the screening of Buddhism-themed films and cultural programs.
