Preparations in full Swing for Dussehra celebrations in Srinagar Srinagar, Oct 24 (ANI): Preparations for Dussehra have been going on in full swing in Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium in Srinagar on October 23. It has been organised by the Kashmiri Hindus. These preparations included decorating venues with colourful decorations, setting up effigies of Ravana, and organising cultural programs. Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, is primarily celebrated in the northern and western parts of India. Mainly, it is not a traditional festival in Kashmir, which is a predominantly Muslim population. But, in recent years, people in Kashmir have begun to observe Dussehra as a cultural event or as a mark of religious harmony.
