‘Preliminary probe shows, it’s an IED device…’ Kerala DGP on Kochi multiple explosions

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Oct 29 (ANI): Soon after the multiple explosions in Kerala, Director General of Police Shaik Darvesh on October 29 said that the preliminary investigation showed it was an IED device. Addressing mediapersons, he said, “Today morning at 9:40 am approximately there was an explosion at Zamra International Convention and Exhibition Centre in which one person died and 36 persons are undergoing treatment. In the convention centre, Jehovah’s Witnesses regional convention was happening. All our senior officers are at the spot. Our additional DGP is also in the way. I will also reach the spot shortly. We are conducting a thorough investigation, we will find out who is behind this and take strict action. Preliminary investigation shows it is an IED device and we are investigating it.”
