Mumbai, August 20 (ANI): Talking about his debut film OMG-2 Aarush Varma on August 20 showed displeasure on not being able to watch his own film as he is just 16 years old. He said it was a bit annoying as it was his first film and his parents and friends were all excited about it. According to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), an ‘A’ certification was imposed on the film preventing people below 18 years old to watch the film. He also said that because of ‘A’ certification, the film is not being shown to its actual target audience. “I want the censor board to make decisions that would be beneficial for us and the target audience could learn from the vision of the movie. The vision of the movie was to show people that ‘Sex Education is not something that is to be hidden to be veiled. Sex Education is something that everyone should have the knowledge of. Incomplete knowledge of something could be extremely harmful. These are completely natural so why should it be talked about secretly? That is why I wanted to act in this film. Meaningful films entertain as well as teach important lessons. The film has nothing that it should be children should be prevented from watching it. In fact, the was actually made for children. Because of such a decision a film that should be shown to children, is shown to adults. What’s the point of making the film,” said Aarush Varma. Further, his mother demanded reconsideration of the film and said that it should be certified as ‘U/A’
