PM Narendra Modi dials UK PM Rishi Sunak; discuss Israel-Hamas war, FTA negotiations

New Delhi, November 4 (ANI): Amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, PM Modi dialed UK PM Rishi Sunak. Both leaders discussed the ongoing situation in West Asia because of the Israel-Hamas war. Notably, India has taken a firm call for a two-state solution for the current Israel-Palestine issue. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to X and wrote, “Death of civilians is a serious concern”. The UK Government has been in support of Israel after Hamas’ surprise attack on October 07. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak himself reached Israel to show solidarity with Israel. Sunak and Modi also discussed the negotiations between India and the United Kingdom on a free trade agreement. PM Modi also congratulated PM Sunak on the successful completion of one year of his tenure in office. Other than that, PM exchanged greetings for the festive occasion of Diwali.
