New Delhi, May 22 (ANI): The Israel-Hamas war continues to turn ugly as killing, and bloodshed entered day 229. The horrific war killed thousands on both sides as the to-and-fro operations broadened. IDF continues to pound Gaza as it remains determined to rescue Israeli hostages since October 07. Meanwhile, Israel celebrated its National Day on May 21 amid the ongoing catastrophic hostilities. Israeli Prez Isaac Herzog on May 21 lauded India for pledging support and solidarity amid conflict. Herzog said that “PM Modi continued to stand on the right side of history" as he condemned war. He further highlighted India’s importance in global leadership speaking for “value of humanity and civilisation”. Prez Isaac also exuded confidence in a strong bilateral and multilateral context in India-Israel partnership. Israel National Day commemorates the declaration of the establishment of the sovereign state of Israel on May 14, 1948.
