New Delhi, September 18 (ANI): AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi during his last speech in Lok Sabha in the old Parliament building on September 18 targeted the Central Government over various issues. He called the Parliament the ‘heart of the nation’. He further cited several instances when the Parliament allegedly failed. “The Parliament failed…. when Sikhs were slayed on the streets of Delhi…When the Babri Masjid was demolished…When the silk trade was stopped…When there was mass killing of Muslims in Muzaffarnagar and Gujarat…. The love for the Parliament in the hearts of Muslims, Kashmiris, and Dalits is fading away…Therefore, the people come and protest on the streets…Chanakya had said, when the rulers become businessmen, public becomes beggars (Jab rajya chalane wale vyapari ho jayenge, toh us rajya ke log bhikhari ho jayenge…Is the first-past-the-post system okay for the nation? Or will we follow the proportional form of representation...I fear the Parliament does not get weak. “Pitch badalne se game nhi badlata, game ko badalna padega,” he said.
