Indore (MP), Jan 02 (ANI): Private bus and truck drivers on January 02 enforced a ‘Chakka Jam’ (traffic jam) across Madhya Pradesh in protest against a new hit-and-run law, which attracts a 7-10 year prison sentence for drivers falling foul of it. This triggered difficulty for commuters travelling to different places. People in large numbers rushed to fuel pumps in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore on January 02. Hundreds of people stormed the fuel pumps as they feared truck drivers’ protest may affect fuel availability. Long queues at petrol pumps were also seen in Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamshala as Transport Association, drivers protested against the new law on hit and run cases.
