Patriotism awakens when we’re attacked, we forget country during peace: Tripura CM Manik Saha

Agartala (Tripura), October 18 (ANI): Chief Minister of Tripura Manik Saha on October 18 attended the ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ program held near NCC Complex in Gurkhabasti in Agartala. While addressing the citizens of Tripura, Manik Saha said that they, the citizens often forget the value of our land and the freedom fighters who gave us this freedom. He said that patriotism only awakens in us when we are under attack from foreign powers. "We often forget our own country. I always say that when we are attacked, we are united. When Pakistan and China attack us, our patriotism awakens but when there is peace, we forget the country... To remember the people because of whom we got freedom, because of whom we are free today, those brave hearts... 'Mera Desh' program is taking place," said Tripura CM Manik Saha.
