Srinagar, September 30 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir particularly Kashmir Valley is experiencing a renaissance in tourism, heralding a new era of prosperity. It has witnessed 1.27 crore tourist arrivals this year so far, and the figure is expected to touch a record high by the year's end. This happened after the recent G-20 Tourism meeting in Kashmir Valley. There has been a huge influx of tourists in Srinagar and the Kashmir valley, especially in recent months and throughout the year. Due to this, houseboats at Dal Lake have been fully booked and Shikara operators have been loaded with customers. Hotels along Dal Lake’s Boulevard Road and those situated at other prime locations are nearly full due to the influx of travellers from different states. 1.27 crore tourists have visited Kashmir since January 2023. Kashmir Valley is attracting lakhs of tourists. Tourism players say that this is the return of the golden era of Kashmir tourism. The record number of tourists who visited Jammu and Kashmir this year testifies to the overall development and change that has taken place in the Union Territory.
