Kupwara (J&K), June 20 (ANI): After 2 terrorists were neutralized in Hadipora-Baramulla encounter, Brigadier Deepak Mohan addressed a press conference on June 20 and said that the two terrorists – Usman and Umar were from Pakistan and were associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. “For the last few days, Security Forces had information about the movement of a few terrorists in Sopore's Rafiabad area. On 19th June, we got specific info from J&K Police that terrorists were seen in a house in Hadipora village. Following this information, Indian Army, CRPF & J&K Police launched a joint counter-terror operation and cordoned off the area. As per procedure, the civilians in the neighbouring houses were safely evacuated. During the operation, terrorists fired at the Security Forces and in retaliatory fire, the two terrorists were neutralised. The two terrorists - Usman and Umar- were from Pakistan and were associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. Terrorist Usman was active in Kashmir Valley since the year 2020. Large amounts of arms & ammunition were recovered from them. In all operations, we have got the support of the people of Kashmir,” said Brigadier Deepak Mohan.
