“Pak trying to push terrorists at LOC to disturb peace in J&K,” Northern Army Commander

Amid ongoing gunfights between security forces and terrorists in the Rajouri and Kupwara districts of J&K, Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Upendra Dwivedi said Pakistan was trying to send gunmen from across the border to disrupt peace in Valley. Two terrorists were gunned down in the ongoing Rajouri encounter while a soldier also laid down his life on the line. Earlier, officials informed that on September 13 one more terrorist was killed in the Rajouri gunfight. A top police official on Sept 12 said one terrorist was gunned down and a soldier lost his life in the ongoing encounter in the Narla area. Three security personnel, including a Special Police Officer (SPO) also sustained injuries during exchange of fire.
