Baramulla (J&K), Jan 13 (ANI): In a remarkable display of resilience, an Indian Army unit showcased its prowess in avalanche rescue operations. Deployed on Line of Control in Gulmarg, troops braved high snow levels and inclement weather conditions along LoC. Daring harsh winter terrain, the unit seamlessly integrated K9 unit, rescue team and ski patrol to ensure the safety of their personnel. The ‘lethal’ canine army navigates treacherous snow-covered landscapes to swiftly identify avalanche victims. Equipped with safety gear, ski-patrol demonstrated their mastery in high altitude, reaching locations where traditional means might fall short. The unit showcased a streamlined casualty evacuation process, ensuring a safe and rapid medical facility for injured. This demonstration sheds light on the crucial role played by specialized units in ensuring security in challenging environments.
