Anantnag (J&K), Sept 19 (ANI): The intense gunfight between security forces and terrorists entered day 7 in J&K’s Anantnag on Sept 19. In a major success, the security forces recovered the body of a LeT terrorist in Kokernag. The body of LeT terrorists was found at the encounter site in dense forest of Kokernag. The terrorist, who was identified as Uzair Khan, was the Commander in Lashkar-e-Taiba. Indian Army along with J&K Police remain locked in a relentless fight with terrorists for a week. Meanwhile, terrorists, hiding in dense Garol forest areas are taking advantage of difficult terrain. Earlier, the Army launched ‘Ops Garol’ to flush out terrorists from Garol forest area of Kokrenag. Hi-tech equipment is being used by the forces for surveillance along with the high impact of precision fire. India lost four bravehearts including two Army officers and J&K Police DySP in a gunfight with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. Army officers Col. Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish Dhonak, J&K DSP Bhat laid down their lives in the line of duty.
