Open Kashmir Wushu Championship under ASMITA Khelo India organised in Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 08, 2025 (ANI): Open Kashmir Wushu Championship drew young athletes, coaches, and sports enthusiasts from across the valley. It was organised in collaboration with J&K Sports Council and J&K’s Wushu Association under ASMITA Khelo India initiative. It aimed to promote martial arts and provided a platform for emerging talent to showcase their skills. Boys and girls from various age groups competed in different categories, reflecting the growing popularity of Wushu game. Notably, ASMITA is a key part of Khelo India framework focuses on identifying and nurturing young talent in diverse sports disciplines. Several players have already made their mark at national and international levels, and events like this championship.
