अहमदाबाद की खारीकट नहर बनेगी छह लेन वाला कॉरिडोर

अहमदाबाद (गुजरात) 9 अप्रेल, 2025, एएनआई: अहमदाबाद की खारीकट नहर, जिसे 1881 में सिंचाई के लिए बनाया गया था, अब आधुनिक रूप ले रही है। लगभग 80 किलोमीटर लंबी यह नहर रायपुर गांव से शुरू होकर चंदोला झील तक जाती है। समय के साथ यह गंदगी और कचरे से भर गई थी, लेकिन अब इसे छह-लेन सड़क में बदला जा रहा है, जो उत्तर और दक्षिण अहमदाबाद को जोड़ेगी। परियोजना जलभराव और कचरा प्रबंधन जैसी समस्याओं का समाधान भी करेगी। पहले चरण में 12.75 किमी हिस्से का 80% काम पूरा हो चुका है, और ₹1003 करोड़ की लागत से दूसरा चरण शुरू हो गया है। 2027 तक यह नहर एक स्वच्छ, आधुनिक और बहुउपयोगी शहरी संरचना में तब्दील हो जाएगी।
