New Delhi, December 29 (ANI): North India is reeling under cold weather with temperatures plummeting across several states. As per IMD, the minimum temperature in Delhi today is 12°C, with a thin layer of fog enveloping parts of the national capital. Homeless people are spending nights in government-constructed night shelters as temperatures continue to fall in the national capital. Residents in Kanpur were seen gathering bonfires to combat the chill. Dense fog, cold wave has continued to disrupt normal life in Amritsar. The severe cold conditions in Prayagraj have made life difficult, especially during the morning hours. Cold conditions also persist in Varanasi, as a blanket of fog reduced visibility in several parts of the city.
