“No place for hate,” Canada’s Public Safety Ministry amid Pannu’s threat to Canadian Hindus

Diplomatic tensions between India, Canada ruptured after PM Trudeau's allegations Against India. Amid the escalating tensions, Gurpatwant Pannun, chief of Sikhs for Justice asked Hindus to leave Canada. Meanwhile, reacting to Pannu’s remark, Canada’s Public Safety Ministry outrightly rejected hate speech. Canada’s Public Safety Ministry termed Pannu’s remark “offensive and hateful” and said, “There is no place for hate”. Public Safety Ministry also urged the Canadians to respect each other and follow the rule of law. Justin Trudeau alleged India’s "potential" involvement in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Nijjar. Earlier, Canadian MP Chandra Arya highlighted rising hate crimes against Hindus, Sikhs in Canada. He called out Khalistan sympathiser, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, chief of SFJ for provoking Hindus in Canada. Amid rising diplomatic rift, Justin Trudeau had also faced backlash over his grave allegations against India without evidence. However, MEA on Sept 21, said that no information has been shared by Canada regarding the killing of Nijjar.
