Description: Srinagar (J&K), April 16, 2025(ANI): In an effort to rejuvenate and restore dwindling springs, the Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation (NLCO), in partnership with the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), launched a restoration and cleaning initiative on April 16. This initiative targets several springs, including those in Shalbaf Mohalla of Anchar, which have been obstructed due to neglect by individuals, government actions, or various encroachments. As part of ‘Mission Ehsaas’, the NLCO has embarked on a significant campaign to revitalize the springs of the valley, aiming to restore their former glory. This initiative seeks to ensure that the residents of Srinagar can once again access clean drinking water from these springs, just as they did for many decades in the past.
