New mission for ISRO on New Year 2024; all set to launch XPoSat to study black hole emissions

New Delhi, December 31 (ANI): 2023 has been a successful year for ISRO as many successful missions have been carried out. Chandrayaan-3 was the most iconic as India became the first country to reach the south pole of the Moon. India’s solar mission Aditya-L1 is also nearing success as the spacecraft is inching closer to L1 point. On the first day of New Year 2024, ISRO is going to launch another space mission PSLV-C58 / XPoSat. XPoSat is the first scientific satellite from ISRO to carry out research in space-based polarisation measurements of X-ray emission from celestial source. This will be India’s first dedicated mission to study emissions from black holes, neutron stars. The launch will be carried out from Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.
