Nepal’s Pokhara Hosts Grand Yoga Day Event with Hundreds in Attendance

Pokhara (Nepal), June 21 (ANI): Hundreds of yoga enthusiasts and followers gathered to perform yoga at the regional stadium in Nepal’s Pokhara, Kaski, on June 21 to mark the International Day of Yoga. The event was graced by the Gandaki Province Chief Minister and the Indian Ambassador to Nepal, who participated in various yoga postures at the Pokhara Rangashala ground filled with participants. The Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, in coordination with the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), organized the event, which lasted for nearly two hours. Yoga, a traditional method for psychological and physical well-being developed in the Indian subcontinent, gained recognition from the UN General Assembly on December 11, 2014.
