Secretary General Janardan Sharma has expressed support for India’s Operation Sindoor against terrorism. In a Facebook post on Thursday, Sharma commended India's targeted actions against terrorist bases in Pakistan. During Thursday’s session of the House of Representatives, several Nepali lawmakers expressed solidarity with nations combating terrorism and urged the government to take a definitive position in light of India's Operation Sindoor. Nepali Congress MP Ramhari Khatiwada, speaking during the parliamentary meeting, emphasized that every nation holds the right to defend itself against terrorism. Citing historical conflicts, he also called for the Nepalese government's readiness in response to the shifting geopolitical landscape. Nepali Congress lawmaker Mukta Kumari Yadav also called on the government to clarify the country's position on terrorism. In response to a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir—which claimed 26 lives—the Indian Armed Forces launched 'Operation Sindoor' on Wednesday. The operation involved precision strikes targeting nine terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), from where attacks against India are believed to have been orchestrated.
