“My sincere gratitude…” Bulgarian President thanks PM Modi for Indian Navy’s anti-piracy ops

New Delhi, March 19 (ANI): Indian Navy have shown their might in the high seas as they battled Somali pirates, rescued Bulgarian Ship MV Ruen. Indian Navy carried out the 40-hour-long Operation and forced 35 Somali sea pirates to surrender. Navy men have been receiving praise for their 40-hour-long operation and for bringing pirates to their knees. Meanwhile, the Bulgarian President Rumen Radev has expressed his gratitude towards PM Modi. President Rumen Radev took to platform ‘X’ on March 18 and lauded the Indian Navy for the operations. PM Modi also appreciated President Radev’s message and talked about India’s commitment to combating piracy. The Indian Navy Vessel INS Kolkata came to the rescue of MV Ruen which was hijacked on December 14, 2023. Indian Navy also released footage of an encounter between commandos and 35 Somali sea pirates. MARCOS, India’s Marine Commandos carried out the operation and forced 35 Somali sea pirates to surrender.
