Guwahati (Assam), Feb 04 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 04 inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for projects worth Rs 11,599 crore in Guwahati. Launching the development projects, Prime Minister Modi said they will boost the connectivity in the region while also increasing avenues of employment for locals and encouraging them to take up sports. PM Modi also spoke about promoting culture and tourism. He went on to say that promoting tourism will increase employment opportunities. “We will see the same after the construction of Kamakhya Corridor BJP government is focusing on North East. A record number of tourists have come to the North East in the last 10 years. You know very well what was the situation in Assam and North East 10 years before The double engine government of BJP has changed the situation in North East Before 2014, he further added.
