He also reflected on the challenging period the party endured following the death of Ram Vilas Paswa “On 13 June 2021, the party was split. Not only was the party split but also the family was split. At this time, you (party workers) became the party's backbone...We made a new start after the party lost its name, symbol and office. This time there were many difficulties and the absence of Ram Vilas Paswan's guidance. In this situation, many of those who were against us were waiting for us to make a mistake. They tried to spread the message that our party could not repeat its previous performance. Many of our own tried to betray us”, said Chirag Paswan.
