Manipur Violence: Curfew imposed, internet suspended post HM Shah chairs meet to tackle crisis

Imphal (Manipur), November 18 (ANI): Manipur has been placed under curfew in Imphal West, Imphal East following escalating tensions after killing of six villagers by militants. Following this, the Manipur government immediately suspended Internet and mobile data services for two days. The security also has been tightened outside the Chief Minister Biren Singh’s residence and Raj Bhavan. HM Amit Shah convened a high-level meeting with senior officials in Delhi to assess the crisis and plan further action on Nov 17. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has directed security forces to restore order and take strict action against violators.
