Churachandpur / Ukhrul/ Imphal (Manipur), May 14 (ANI): Deepak Chingakham, a BSF constable who laid down his life during Operation Sindoor along the Pakistan border, is being honoured with heartfelt respect in his home state of Manipur. A day after his mortal remains were brought to Imphal with full state honours, the people of Manipur united in paying tribute to his supreme sacrifice for the motherland, hailing him as a true hero. They echoed the national sentiment, expressing pride in Deepak's bravery and reaffirming that the people of Manipur stand united and resolute in the face of any threat to the nation. Mourners continue to visit the grieving family of BSF martyr Deepak Chingakham, paying heartfelt tributes to the valiant hero who laid down his life during Operation Sindoor. His sacrifice has united the community in deep sorrow and unwavering pride. BSF constable Deepak Chingakham, stationed in Jammu and Kashmir, played a crucial role in destroying a Pakistani post before being critically injured by enemy artillery during Operation Sindoor. He succumbed to his injuries on May 11. His legacy will endure as a symbol of courage, sacrifice, and national pride.
