Manipur: Union Home Secretary visits relief centres for IDPs in Churachandpur

hurachandpur (Manipur), June 02 (ANI): The Union Home Secretary, Govind Mohan, and Director of Intelligence Bureau, Tapan Kumar Deka, visited two relief centres for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Churachandpur, accompanied by Manipur Chief Secretary P.K. Singh, DGP Rajeev Singh, and other officials. At the Dorcas Locality Community Hall, Govind Mohan inaugurated a Women’s Tailoring Centre under Rural Self Employment Training Institute, a Crèche Facility, and the “Wall of Hope.” The team toured stalls, inspected facilities, and attended a short cultural program featuring performances by children and felicitation of meritorious students. They later visited the Sadbhavna Mandap Relief Centre, where similar facilities were inaugurated. The Home Secretary distributed gifts and assessed the living conditions of the IDPs.
