Manipur: Massive Arms Cache Recovered in Security Raids

Imphal (Manipur), 15 July, ANI: In a major crackdown to restore normalcy, security forces in Manipur launched coordinated pre-dawn raids across several valley districts, seizing a large cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives. Acting on specific intelligence, joint teams of the Manipur Police, Central Armed Police Forces, and Assam Rifles carried out simultaneous operations in Imphal East, Imphal West, Thoubal, Kakching, and Bishnupur. A total of 86 weapons were recovered along with 974 rounds of live ammunition, nine grenades, six HE mortar shells, four IEDs, and wireless equipment. The intelligence-led raids marked a significant step towards restoring peace and order in the violence-hit state. The Manipur Police reaffirmed their commitment to securing the region and protecting civilians.
