In a sign of peace and renewed normalcy, over 300 cyclists from all walks of life came together for Cyclothon 2025 in Imphal. Covering a stretch of 9.5 kilometers, the rally aimed to spread the urgent message of reducing dependence on fossil fuels and embracing clean, renewable energy solutions. The Cyclothon was flagged off by Arun Kumar Sinha, Principal Secretary of Forest and Environment, from the historic Western Kangla Gate. Carrying placards with powerful messages, the cyclists pedaled through key locations across Imphal West and East, culminating at the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change complex in Porompat. The event was a collaborative effort, supported by the All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union, Editors' Guild of Manipur, Association of Healthcare Providers (India) Manipur Chapter, River Bank Society, and the Manipur Adventure and Mountain Biking Association.
