Major Accident Averted: Gas cylinder on UP rail track triggers alarm; Police suspects ‘conspiracy’

Kanpur (UP), September 09 (ANI): A major tragedy was averted as a conspiracy to derail Kalindi Express train in Uttar Pradesh was uncovered on September 09. The Driver of Kalindi Express applied emergency brakes and brought the train to a stop after spotting a gas cylinder placed on a railway track. The train was travelling from Prayagraj to Bhiwani in Haryana when the incident happened at nearly 8 pm. The incident happened near the crossing of Munderi village near Kanpur between Barrajpur and Bilhaur stations. ATS team has reached the spot and investigation into the incident is underway. DCP West Zone Kanpur Commissionerate, Rajesh Kumar Singh, has suspected a ‘big conspiracy’. He said, “We are working on it now…whatever evidence we have found has been secured…suspected people will be questioned…. Where did this cylinder come from… the wrapper from a sweet shop and matchbox have been found… all of this will investigated then we will take a decision… It’s certainly a big conspiracy.”
