Under Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, the Goa Government’s Mhaje Ghar Yojana is transforming long-pending dreams of homeownership into reality. The scheme provides legal ownership to families who have lived for decades on government or community land, granting them security, dignity, and stability. At a special event in Ponda, Dr. Sawant handed over certificates to thousands of beneficiaries, formally recognizing their homes. Neha Nirakant from Ponda expressed immense pride upon receiving her ownership certificate, marking a moment she can finally call her house her own. Implemented under the Goa Land Revenue Code, the Regularisation of Unauthorized Constructions Act, and the Forest Rights Act, the scheme stands as a symbol of hope, confidence, and empowerment for every Goan, ensuring every family feels secure and respected.
