Maharashtra: Nashik reeling under severe water crisis as dam levels plummet

Nashik (Maharashtra), June 25 (ANI): Amid the surge in temperature, several parts of India are experiencing an acute water crisis. Maharashtra’s Nashik is also reeling under severe water crisis with only 5.58 pc storage left in Gangapur Dam, significantly down from 9.26 pc last year. Despite the monsoon’s arrival in Maharashtra, Nashik still awaits rainfall, exacerbating the drinking water shortage. If rains do not arrive soon, the city’s water scarcity will worsen. The critically low water levels in Gangapur Dam underscore the urgent need for timely monsoon showers.
