Maharashtra CM holds meeting as protests flare up for Maratha reservation demands

Beed (Maharashtra), October 30 (ANI): Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was seen leaving Raj Bhawan after meeting Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais. Later, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis also joined the meeting at Eknath Shinde’s Bungalow. The meeting was in the wake of the multiple violent protests that took place in demand for Maratha reservations. As the Maratha community’s movement flared up, multiple incidents of vehicles being set on fire came across on October 30. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA Prakash Solanke’s residence in Maharashtra’s Beed was also set on fire by a group of pro-Maratha reservation protestors. The movement took a violent form due to which, massive damage has been caused to public and private property. Satara district will remain closed tomorrow while a curfew has also been imposed in Beed district.
