Madurai Railway Station stands poised for remarkable transformation

With the aim of providing passengers with a world-class environment, the Indian Railways has taken on the redevelopment of Madurai railway station. The redevelopment work has already been awarded a scheduled completion time of 36 months, and for this project, 347.47 crore rupees have been sanctioned. The plan includes the construction of one terminal each on the Eastern and Western sides. With the objective of segregating arrivals and departures, three multi-level parking facilities, two on the eastern side and one on the western side, are proposed to be constructed.
