New Delhi, February 17 (ANI): Long Range Acoustic Devices (LRAD) or Sound Gun have been put at Singhu border between Delhi and Haryana. This is the latest tactic adopted by the police to disperse the farmers if they reach Delhi. LRAD or Sound Gun is a specialised loudspeaker that produces sound at high power for communicating at a distance. It has been used as a method of crowd control. The device, creates an irritating noise which is unbearable for humans. LRADs are non-lethal weapons that use soundwaves as ammunition. It looks like a large loudspeaker and can be handheld or mounted on a tripod or vehicle.
