Description: New Delhi, April 12, 2025 (ANI): Senior Research Fellow at Mercatus Center, Shruti Rajagopalan explained Carnegie India Global Tech Summit how India can avail the opportunity amid tariff tension. She said, “So the US is our largest trading partner on the export side, but China and Asian countries are our largest trading partners on the import side. So all our export competitiveness, as Ashley mentioned, is completely short if we don't dramatically reduce tariffs. So I think irrespective of what the rest of the world does, India must reduce its tariffs. You already have stuff for semiconductors and pharma.”
