Dharamshala (HP), June 01 (ANI): Voting is underway for the last phase of the general elections on June 01. About two thousand Tibetans in-exile cast their votes in Himachal Pradesh’s Dharamshala for Indian Parliamentary elections on June 01. The exile Tibetans cast votes with a hope that the newly elected leadership will do something for their country Tibet. The polling for Himachal Pradesh’s four constituencies began on June 01 at 7 AM in the morning. There was a great enthusiasm among people as long queues were seen at the polling stations in Kangra and Dharamshala. Tibetans expressed that they are happy to vote and are hopeful that new elected leadership of India will give answer to China. Lobasang, an exile Tibetan said, “I am feeling happy to be here and to vote for my candidate. I wish that my candidate would win and perform well. China has occupied our country and there are no such democratic rights in Tibet. I wish the that the new elected leadership of India will give an answer to China.” Thinley Jampa said, “I have come here to vote for Lok Sabha and Dharamshala assembly by polls. There are about fifteen hundred Tibetan voters in Dharamshala and all are very excited today. We are thankful to the government of India who have us polling rights here.” Tenzin, a Tibetan woman said’ “I am here to vote to the person I believe and I hope he will good to this country because we don’t have any rights to vote in Tibet so I am happy to be a part of this democracy here.”
